Very distinct sounds between a Rick and SG, think its a great contrast for the song. Pretty siked about Derek pulling out the Rickenbacker.....(think it's a rick...?) I had just got home from playin' an open mic, cool jam to come home to! Thought it was a great job (as always). ohhhhhhhhhhh there goes the cup of coffee, gotta go!
I'm a fan (and you should be too) because... the music is sincere, comes from the heart, combines musical styles and just simply makes you feel ohhhhh so good! I've been a musician for 25 years, went to school for music, and somewhere along the line got sidetracked and barely picked up my instruments.... These are the folks that brought me back to what I love several years back! I'm back to writing, playing everyday, gigging, running open mics and meeting new musicians all the time. I love all kinds of music, but I'm pretty sure these are the only folks that have brought tears to my eyes because the music moved me so powerfuly.
My gratitude to the entire Derek / Susan Trucks bands, family, crews, Mike Mattison, Paul Olsen and all the great people I've met on the road!
