setlist and slide! From the John Bell and Friends show at the Orlando House of BLues: it was hard for melissa to get the setlist because they close the awesome patchwork curtains after the show. so the only option she had was to take her "setlist PLEASE" sign and go around the barracade and under the curtain to hold her sign up, and sure enough the cool guy, with the big red afro, hooked it up. (after the show he gave him one of our 'trademake' mardi gras beads and was able to say "thank you") so being still a little too buzzed to pilot the time machine, we decided to stalk the band. (buzzed, not waisted!) after going around the building we ended up re-entering the HoB via the back door, acted silly and was shown the way out once again. we asked the nice lady where the band might be exiting and see was happy to tell us, got us out of her hair..... we hungout for a while and soon the band members started slowly coming out the back gate for about a twenty yard walk across the sidewalk where they went through another gate that had a car/suv waiting for them. most were happy to be asked to sign our setlist and take pics with Melissa. Duane, col. Bruce then Derek and Susan. all were very nice folks, i was able to engage in convo with Derek and after correcting me on a story about what happend to his slide at one of his shows i had been to (Soul Kitchen Mobile, AL) he reached in his pocket and gave me his slide!!! Melissa asured me that i didnt freak out and act like an idiot. my head was spinning and at that moment i felt higher than i had all night. after that we stayed a little longer waiting for JB and Jimmy and of course they came out and Jimmy was kind as always and signed the setlist but didnt stop for a pic. All we got from JB was a quote: "I believe you are looking for somebody else"
