Preorder dTb's New Live Album 'Roadsongs' Today!

Over two April nights in Chicago, The Derek Trucks Band took the stage at Park West to perform in front of raucous sold-out crowds. Fans were eager to hear the new material off the band’s just-released Already Free, and the band was happy to be on the road once again, doing what they love and playing music for the mind, body and spirit.

These two shows quickly became legendary amongst fans and the band, alike. Now, with the release of the live double CD Roadsongs, the legend can only grow.

Roadsongs is a document of a band at its collective musical peak. Mixing fresh material from Already Free, such as a rollicking run through “Get What You Deserve,” a soul-drenched version of “I Know,” and a powerful take on Bob Dylan’s “Down In The Flood,” with classic dTb originals like “I’ll Find My Way,” Roadsongs captures dTb as they reached new heights on-stage. An awe-inspiring 14-minute workout on John Coltrane’s “Afro Blue,” and the first officially-released version of dTb live staple “Get Out My Life Woman” (with a Jimi Hendrix “Who Knows” interlude in the middle) elevate Roadsongs into the stratosphere.

On June 22, Roadsongs will be released to the general public, and we’ve heard your voices, so this time around, there will be no bonus content offered elsewhere. Order here and you’ll get all the music, 2 CDs and 14 tunes carefully selected by Derek and the band coming to you soon!

Can’t wait til June? We have you covered: you can preorder Roadsongs starting today, and anyone who preorders the album will receive an instant mp3 download of the album’s first song, “I’ll Find My Way.” Also, all preorders will also have a chance to win a very special prize: an autographed, used-in-concert Derek Trucks bottleneck slide! We’ll be putting the slides into preorder shipments at random, so be sure to preorder today for your chance to win one. If you place your preorder before June 10, your copy of Roadsongs will arrive on or before the official release date!

Not only that, preorders will receive a very special gift… A dTb Roadsongs air freshener for your car! That way, when you listen to Roadsongs while cruising the open road, you’ll get to enjoy the great smell of dTb along with their great sound! There’s only a limited number of air fresheners being made, so act fast before they’re gone…

Finally, we’re pleased to announce the release of the official Already Free guitar tablature book, from Cherry Lane Music Publishing! For the first time, fans can enjoy professional-quality transcriptions of all of the songs from Already Free. If you preorder your copy of Roadsongs along with a copy of the Already Free tab book, Derek Trucks will hand-sign your book. But remember, the preorder period ends June 21, so be sure to get yours while you can to enjoy the instant mp3 download, the limited edition dTb air freshener, and the Derek Trucks-signed guitar tab book.

Apparently I'm not allowed to pre-order because the download of I'll Find My Way can't be "shipped" to New Zealand and I'm not allowed to remove it from my cart. What's the matter? Tubes clogged over there or something?

Where's Sweet Inspiration? $7.57 for shipping?

Very excited about this!

Re:

I wish i could see u sing on my b-day. ugh.oh well, u keep singing your emotion I listen to this song at least 5 times a day. I absolutely love it! I can't wait till the new CD comes out!

I love the band and absolutely will buy this album, but after getting burned with Already Free (pre-ordering with only to find that I could have gotten it much cheaper AND with bonus tracks upon release), I think I'm going to wait until June. $7.57 shipping is ridiculous, and an air freshener (and the remote possibility of getting a slide) just isn't worth it unless I know the extra cash is going straight to the band. Sad On top of the expensive shipping, this will surely be on sale in various places during the week of its release (it's already a buck cheaper and eligible for free shipping at Amazon).

Regardless, I'm excited about this album and can't wait to buy and listen to it!

For those of you who are content to pay an extra $8-10 (or more for express shipping), you're now that much more likely to get one of the slides. Smiling

Wow

Derek, you tear the s*** out of I'll find my Way. I love you.

PLEASE RANDOMLY SELECT ME FOR A SLIDE GIVEAWAY. First comment. Smiling

I'm 20 years young, wear your strings on my left wrist every day, from wearyourmusic.org, and I study your music thoroughly.

I met you in Champaign, Illinois back in September, and I will meet you again someday.

Also, please come back to Iowa City! I was not yet in school when you were last here, but I have taken a few lessons from Steve Grismore, the jazz guitar professor here, and he said he was partially (or wholly) responsible for bringing you here. The students need to be exposed to some real music every once in a while Laughing out loud
