Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Tour Dates Announced

In 2010, fans of Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi have many reasons to be excited. After sharing the stage countless times, and performing on each other's respective GRAMMY-nominated albums in 2009, the formidable husband-and-wife duo are joining forces for a handful of special dates. Both Derek & Susan are taking some time off this year for much needed family time, but as life-long performers they won't be able to resist hitting the road and taking the stage to play music with friends. The Trucks/Tedeschi family plans to use 2010 as an opportunity to try out new ideas and songs so stay tuned for some surprises.

The first concert for the new band will be a headlining appearance at the Savannah Music Festival on April 1. From there, the group will play at Wanee Music Festival on April 17 before heading to the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival for a performance on April 30. After that, they will play at Mountain Jam on June 5. Additional dates will be announced shortly.

Currently, the duo is rehearsing down in their Jacksonville home with a rotating cast of fellow musicians and friends. We know fans are excited to hear the lineup of musicians who will perform with Derek & Susan this year, but nothing is set in stone. In fact, you may see a few different combinations of musicians performing alongside Derek & Susan in 2010 as they invite friends on the road and expand the musical family. We'll have additional announcements about the lineup for each of these shows as the dates draw closer.

Please come to the Pagent in St. Louis. This is simply a wonderful venue and is perfect for the band. What an awsome chemistry and sound Derek and Susan have together. The Trucks band is amazing. If you guys can't make it, have a great year! We'll be wearing out your cd's.

Loved seeing Susan & Derek in your shows here in the San Francisco area as SOUL STEW REVIVAL..

And also DTB last April -- (still treasure Yonrico's handpainted set list which you all signed for my birthday at the Regency Center!)

Hope you will add a date for this new SUSAN & DEREK Tour in either San Fran or Oakland
(and hopefully it will be a weekend evening so us working folks & students can make it!)

And wishing that Carlos Santana will sit in like he did last time when you all were at the Masonic in S.F. (and when DTB played on 4/15/09)

on us signing up for email alerts for shows? the RSS feed is about a month behind the actual announcements for shows. I sure hope that this can be fixed as i will not be checking the site 3-4 times a day for concert listings this year. Peace, BB
