With an amazing year of touring behind them, The Derek Trucks Band is hard at work putting together a new live album to be released in Spring of 2010! As the band pours over tapes and tracks, they’re asking fans to join the effort and be a part of this special album.
For the last 16 years of touring, Derek and the band have played everywhere from backwater juke-joints to massive summer festivals, and at each stop dTb fans were there (often with camera in hand) to show their support. Now, we’re asking fans to dig through your archives for your best pictures of The Derek Trucks Band over the years. Whether on-stage, off-stage, or backstage, we want to see it. Also, feel free to post shots of any/all band members in group or solo shots. The best photo or photos will have a chance to be included within the album packaging for the new dTb live album!
Here's how to participate: we created a new fan photo gallery on DerekTrucks.com, called “dTb Historical Photo Project” – upload your photos there and the band will review them. If your photo is selected, we’ll be contacting you, so make sure your email address is up-to-date in your DerekTrucks.com profile. Start digging through those old photos now – we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

I see what you mean, BB...
The "official rules" link still ends up with "page not found," but if you click on the title "dTb Historical Photo Project" or the number of the photos posted you'll get to a submitted fan photo with the bar of thumbnails above it. Then it navigates just like the other photo posting segments.
I haven't tried posting photos yet, so I don't know if that aspect is functional.
I am having trouble as well......
I was going to post some photos but have issues as well... If it does not get fixed, take a look at these sets of photos, I think you will like them.

Want to edit why I like DTB Comment
Can't edit a typo from my remark.

When I looked
at my "Why I Like DTB" posting, I noted the same thing, Tru.
The "edit my Why I Like DTB" line has somehow gotten incorporated into the last sentence of the posting itself and lost it's function as a link.
We should probably pass along the information about this glitch to Marc, the site administrator. I'm assuming that the problem arises for any fan trying to edit their WILdtb posting. Anyone else notice this?
BB and moemoe
To post photos for the DTB Historical Photo Project it looks like we can
- go to the "Photos" area of the site
- click on the DTB HPP link
- hit "upload"
From there it appears we can choose in which segment our photos will appear and actually enter the uploading process.
Unfortunately the DTB HPP Official Rules link still seems to go nowhere.
Official Rules Are Back
Very helpful
Thanks, Marc!
Prospective photo posters for the dTb Historical Photo Project...
Please be sure to take time to read the Official Rules. Some of you may have posted to this project while the rules page wasn't operational, but there are some important guidelines there.
I've been enjoying the older photos that fans have posted to the Historical Photo Project area, but to be eligible for the contest the photos need to be from the Already Free tour exclusively. That would be 2009 only. Those constraints make sense because the band is looking to include some outstanding photos from the tour on the upcoming Already Free live concert album.
While the original announcement invites posters to upload photos from any point in the dTb's history, it seems that the contest will consider only photos from the Already Free concerts.
Anyone else have a different read on this situation?
Regarding Anydays Question....
I talked with Marc about this very subject last night and here is what he had to say:
"I contacted Sony to get them to update them - the rules page had broken so I had them fix it but it seems they used an out-of-date version of the rules. We're looking for photos from any tour, not just 2009."
I'd take a look at everything on there, it is a pretty extensive set of rules and agreements.

That's an important clarification, moemoe
Thanks for following through and getting a resolution of this matter from Marc.
Title for Live abum
The title should be EUSA SOUL, because the live concerts was in USA and EUROPE

Is it too late?
I know it's past the deadline but I was wondering if it is too late to submit some photos to be included in the project? I finally found the ones I want to submit and will do so if it's not too late.
Thanks!
Toby
It was
It was a great opportunity for me but I read about it today itself. Any way you wont have any objection if I will post the photos at “the dtb Historical photo project”with out any intention to enter into the contest but just to make you know how much we love you and your work. From all these years I am listening to the fabulous music and wish all of you the very best in the coming years too. Patio Furniture | ADT Home Security | Plastic Injection Molding
