The Allman Brothers Band

We are sorry to say that The ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND have announced that their annual residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York City will be rescheduled for early 2009. The shows were postponed earlier this month as singer/keyboardist GREGG ALLMAN continues his recovery from treatment for Hepatitis C. You tickets purchased through Ticketmaster internet and phones will be automatically refunded. All other tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Information on purchasing tickets for the 2009 Allman Brothers Band's run at the Beacon will be announced early next year.
Although unable to play for fans in New York City this year, the group will resume its touring schedule in August with special guest Bob Weir & RatDog. Tickets for shows August 13 in Wantagh, NY (Jones Beach) and August 15 in Holmdel, NJ (PNC Bank Arts Center) go on sale May 3 at 9:00AM Eastern
The band plans on making the 2009 shows their best ever, with special plans to commemorate their 40th anniversary.
The good news is the confirmed tour dates as follows, with more to be scheduled.

This year's Crossroads Guitar Festival, filmed July 28, 2007 is now on sale. The DVD features performances by The Derek Trucks Band, Susan Tedeschi, Johnny Winter with The Derek Trucks Band, Eric Clapton & Steve Winwood (featuring Derek), BB King, Willie Nelson, Los Lobos, Jeff Beck, Buddy Guy, and many others!! For those of you that missed Derek playing in Clapton's band this will give you a great representation of the tour.
In the United States, "exclusive editions" featuring additional tracks will be sold by retailers Best Buy and Target. Although the tracks have not yet been announced for the Target Stores version, the Best Buy Exclusive Edition will feature two extra Eric Clapton tracks according to their website: "Things Get Better" (correct track title is "Got To Get Better In A Little While") and "Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad".

The Derek Trucks Band's first and only live concert DVD is available in stores and online now. 'Songlines Live!', recorded at The Park West in Chicago on January 28, 2006, is a 2-hour/20-song DVD that captures the magic of the DTB in their optimal setting – in front of a live audience. As soon as the DVD was released people were raving about the video and sound quality. The audio was mixed in both PCM stereo and 5.1 Surround by engineer/producer Jay Joyce who mixed the "Songlines" CD as well. The DVD is on sale at a number of retailers or you can get it through the DTB Merch store, so get out there and grab yours today!
