Reviews for this Album

Joyful Noise was the first DTB album to feature Kofi, and features four great Kofi Burbridge compositions. The CD is probably the most far-reaching singular project the DTB has put out, excluding of course their live albums. The CD is a stylistic journey from gospel to funk to soul to latin to Qawwali in addition to some good old blues. It has some amazing songs, including one of the best, if not the best DTB song, the title track. The song Joyful Noise is quintessential DTB, and though the track off the CD is not as good as the Songlines Live version, nothing is.

It is impossible not to dance when Joyful Noise hits your ears. Tight rhythms, screaming leads, great percussion - what more can you ask for? 5 stars, no doubt.
