Thanks anyday for your good words..since a while
I had no chance to enter the forum, that’s why the delay now.
It seems that you have an incredible memory… you still
remember the post about Montreux and the video tape.
We hope of a release, would be sooo great.
By the way..soon I will post one more photo of another
vehicle with the already free album logo..to spread
the word of this incredible musicians is a real joy for me,
they are simply my absolute favorites with their combination
of feeling, groove, brilliant technic and even personal with their
humble and pleasantly characters.
Can`t wait to see view gigs again, even if it would be in the U.S.
why not? Holidays for musical reasons, great..and even for such
music! Wannee has an incredible line up, would be alone a reason
to go, but I hope to find view tour dates near each other to
experience view concerts..hope to make it true…who knows..
All the best to you over there and one more time an incredible
guitar solo to enjoy from the sultan of strings!:

We have no problem understanding what you are saying. Your English is excellent and it's obvious that you are a devoted dTb fan and appreciate great music.

You bring a refreshing perspective to this forum and often remind us how fortunate we are to have had so many opportunities to see Derek and the band at concerts and festivals here in the US. We share your excitement about the upcoming live album from the dTb - what will it be called? which of our favorite selections will make the final cut? Can't wait to find out!

I remember reading a post that you wrote after seeing Derek and the guys at Montreux. You mentioned that the Montreux performances are all videotaped, which could lead to the production of a DVD eventually. That's a really exciting prospect. Hope you are right about the possible Montreux DVD.

Seeing the creative artwork tribute to the dTb on your vehicle in the photo that you posted here was amazing. You sure know how to spread the word about our favorite musicians and their music!

We're getting a blast of snow and bitterly cold weather here in the Northeast. Gives us a good excuse to stay home, keep warm and dip into our music collections. Have an enjoyable weekend, Zappa.

Thanks anyday for your detailed explanation,
I`m grateful for such lessions and should learn
a little more of your language, even if I think,
that the people mostly understand, what I try to say.
Main thing, we share the love to this great musicians
and their fascinating music.
I`m very excited to the coming live-recording and still
I hope that the montreux-gig will be a DVD-release
some day.
Hope you are well, Brother.

You always seem to have a fresh, encouraging insight to share.

Your friend was correct in saying that "outtakes" was not the word you were looking for to describe the carefully chosen live versions of dTb musical selections that will be included on the upcoming album. In fact, "outtakes" are usually performances that are eliminated from consideration during editing because of something that went wrong during the taping/filming. Unless, of course, the mistakes on the tape are for some reason humorous, silly or entertaining. Then the "outtakes" themselves can become a sort of valuable product. In English we sometimes refer to funny outtakes as "bloopers".

So, for instance, if a DVD is particularly successful and well-received, it could be re-issued in a deluxe form which might include the original DVD plus some footage taken during the production of the DVD (which real fans of the DVD would find interesting) and then possibly some outtakes... like the first version filmed of a scene or scenes in which the actors or musicians made mistakes in their lines or parts, and the scene had to be re-filmed to get it right.

Maybe the dTb has some outtakes saved from studio sessions, but I doubt that there are very many tapes of dTb live performance goof ups in existence. Anyone think of examples they have witnessed or heard about?

Of course some entire performances are just head and shoulders above others for various reasons. And sometimes a version of a particular number has it all and becomes a true classic. So even concerts that are technically OK could become outtakes when compared to the gems described above!

A friend who knows better english, told me, that „outtakes“
is a negative word, so what about:
