contrary to what the scrapomatic.com tour schedule says. they have the date correct (3/11) but not the day as it says *FRIDAY* when it is in reality on Thursday.
i am not going as it is a weeknight and we are busy with lots of other stuff going down.
sounds like a blast...

NMAS @ orange peel, Keller Williams @ peel, & BELA FLECK @ op too.
HP-sounds like a fun show with a lot of chestnuts from what I call the middle years (although they were early comparatively speaking)...cool stuff! Unbroken Chain, LL, Cucamonga...way cool! Peace, BB

As its rescheduled to 3/11(anniversary of lafe) a weeknight which I will now most likely skip.
Furthur we made it to. It was our valentines date.
Way better musically than the 2009 "The Dead" with Warren Haynes. The DS0 lead guitarist John Kadlecik fits in more with the songs live. Without Bill and Mickey, and with two drummers who are younger, more energetic, and can hear better, that makes all the difference in the world live musically speaking. The female singers are grand as well one of which is Ken Keseys daughter as I understand it. Unbroken Chain was a monster. Lots of deep cuts with Silvio, Loose Lucy, and Pride of Cucamonga, Loser, He's Gone, Mama Tried, hell in a bucket, alabama getaway, a traditional with NFA, a Beatles cover with Strawberry Fields, a rockin' Sugar Magnolia with Sunshine Daydream to close among many others. My only complaint and this has been one for years now are Phil Lesh's vocals. If they came back to the local area I would definitely go see them live again.
How was Further and did you make the Scrap show?? Peace, BB

Also that was not including me too. So really $25.00.
Going back to an earlier reference in this thread I'll be in the rear balcony of the sold out Thomas Wolfe Memorial Auditorium for Furthur(Bob and Phil) Tuesday! And I know someone who has a spare ticket for it. Tickets for this one are going for outrageous sums on scalper sites($750.00) but my friend only wants what was originally paid for it at box office.
To be rescheduled to 3/11 according to the now current tourdates on their official website. However the guy I just spoke to at pisgah brewery said as far as he knew it was still on but to call back in an hour when the bartender gets there. I know of people coming in from charlotte who now may not come because of poor information on the band and venues part. So scrapomatic may lose $20.00($5.00 cover x4) tonight. Oh well.
I'm slammed at work and have been out of town on my own "tour" LOL! Sorry that you got snowed in..maybe you can catch them at PB! Peace, BB

that North Carolina snow is getting to be a real nuisance!
Missed it if they even had it/it wasn't canceled. Wasn't about to go out in the snow. Roads clear today but a snow storm is predicted for this coming weekend so catching this weekends gig at Pisgah Brewery in Black Mountain may be iffy too. Hopefully I'll make it . . .
if it doesnt snow it out i may go tonight.
you go to raleigh scrap gig bb?
I just saw where Norah Jones was going to be at the TWA and we would love to come but can't take off two days during the week! If she can come to Asheville, DT and ST sure can..and it's a GREAT auditorium! Peace, BB

The discrepancy was that Facebook said Feb 6th and Jambase.com said Jan 6th. The slow Scrapomatic.com webmaster only updated the site with the real black mtn date(feb 6th) in the last day along with an asheville gig on friday jan 29th listed as well.
I'm very curious as to why in the hell Scrapomatic, a tiny band managed by Blake Budney(who actually *RESIDES in Asheville and incidentally is also dtb's manager), can come to Asheville twice in ONE WEEKS* time and that the DTB(a band with larger marquee/name value) had not been to Asheville in *3* YEARS ???
I sure do hope that Entourage/Monterey/and Blake get the Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi Band to Asheville for a gig *this* spring touring season. Preferably in the Thomas Wolfe Memorial Auditorium a 2,200 capacity theatre(if they can't fill or don't think they can fill it then maybe consider closing off the sides and rear and only sell the orchestra) if not then at least at the Orange Peel(which I personally like less but would take that or even somewhere else nearby over having to travel) a room which now has a 1,200 capacity due to recent upgrades.
