Off the Rails: Aboard the Crazy Train in the Blizzard of Ozz by Rudy Sarzo

Prolific Rock bassist Rudy Sarzo has written a first-hand account of extreme life on the road for a Rock musician. In his rags-to-riches tale he includes stories of tour mischief, Rock 'n Roll excess, and he gives a much-needed account of one of Rock's greatest guitarists - Randy Rhoads. For anyone interested in the Ozzy Osbourne experience, Rudy's book is the perfect addition to your bookshelf.

If you like reading Fantasy, then check out George RR Marin's 'A Clash of Kings'

My teacher had me read Black Boy by Richard Wright for now but I'll check out your suggestions. Thanks Smiling

Hell's Angels by Hunter Thompson (non-fiction)..or "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (fiction) by HT...I'm feeling just a little "Gonzo" this morning Smiling

“Well, to say ‘Southern Rock’ is kind of redundant, isn’t it? It’s like saying ‘Rock Rock'." - Gregg Allman

"Rock music was born in the South. So why do you have to clarify that?" - Warren Haynes

"Practice Wisdom, Listen, Ask Questions, Work Hard, Lift Up Those Around You, and Never, Ever, Underestimate the Power of Kindness!" Brother Bill

Thanks guys Smiling Any topic. I like novels like Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse but he is not American. Not sure why we have to read books by only American authors? I will check out those books. Smiling

Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole - a funny classic
Gang Leader for a Day by Sudhir Venkatesh
and similar but very interesting: Freakonomics by Stephen Dubnet and Steven Levitt

Only the first one is fiction. The second one is a true story of a University of Chicago sociologist who lives in a southside Chicago housing project with a gang. The third is just an interesting book but not really fiction or nonfiction.

The Road by Cormac McCarthy. It's a post-apocalyptic novel following a man and his kid, it's awesome.

Any topic?
