I think that BB is hoping that when SONY recognizes the actual extent of the glitch and its repercussions, it will devote more resources to working out the problem(s).

(I don't think you will be prevented from doing this even if you have experienced blocks when trying to post to forums.) Message Marc with a brief description of your problem. In another thread discussing the spam filter, Marc asked that we describe to him what we were attempting to do at the time we experienced the block.
