I've triggered the Spam fileter
I can't reply to any posts as i'm getting the following error message "your submission has triggered the spam filter"
I AM NOT SPAM!!

Replies for this Forum Topic
it seems like innocent posters being misidentified as spammers is the current issue here. Can't imagine how frustrating that has to be for you!
Glad that you still have a sense of humor in the midst of all this, Ritchie!
My husband recalls that when he was a young child his Grandma had a profound fondness for SPAM. The fact that it was economical, didn't have to be refrigerated and needed no extensive preparation made it very convenient. He said he enjoyed it at first... cold/warmed, sliced/diced, on its own/with potatoes or eggs... but after awhile he got really tired of it showing up everywhere. I imagine that's why bothersome, unsolicited e-mailings first became known as spam and the name stuck.
It's nice in a toasted Bagel. Thanks to this forum i have now been introduced to a new food source!
just spamed...........
Maybe while the website troubleshooter was trying to solve the most recent spam filter problem, he ran across the source of the previous spate of unexplained bannings and corrected it. Has anyone else been inexplicably banned and then had their prior account reinstated?
damn, I just got it too.

spam spam spam,,,it won't go away
i've emailed Marc last week but i'm still spam
I DON'T WANT TO BE SPAM ANYMORE!
I like this thread. Fine, I'll stop picking on Bill.....for now! Muhahahaha!
I got an e-mail in the last 24 hours to sign back in with my former user name "holt". Apparently I can use it again but I have not tried yet. I did not request that this happen. Did someone else here request it? If so then who?
Nathan just confessed in the General Discussion forum. He admitted trying to post a message here making fun of BB and triggering the spam filter!
Apparently there will be no mocking or ribbing of BB allowed in this thread. Think twice about even snickering at a comment that BB posts, especially if your hands are in contact with keyboard or mouse! The powerful dTb spam filter will jolt you from your chair.
(One problem with the theory I suggest above, is that it doesn't explain why even BB's posts are getting caught by the spam filter... Hmmmmm... Could it be his self-deprecating humor? Anyone?)
I was posting 2 URL's from Youtube...
"Your submission has triggered the spam filter and will not be accepted."

I tried to reply to "what are you listening too other than DTB"
We're working on this... It would be a help if you folks could report exactly what you were doing when you triggered the filter. The good news is, you aren't blocked or anything, these are temporary restrictions, but I've contacted the tech powers-that-be for this site to make sure we can avoid these issues going forward. There is a bit of a balance since we do get a fair amount of straight-up spam and I've tried to be more diligent in deleting those posts and users. But obviously we don't want to restrict how (or how often) you non-spammers use the site so we'll figure out a fix soon.
If anyone else trips the spam blocker please post here w/ a brief description of what you were doing when you got banned...
Thanks,
>Marc

This may be a different message than I have received in the past when I was trying to use HTML to post a link. Is there a box below the spam message with letters and or numbers written in a distorted way? If not, I don't know what to tell you, Richie. I suppose you could try private messaging the site administrator, Marc, and describing your problem.
If you DO see the box with distorted letters/numbers, look below it for a space where you can type and enter the sequence of characters that you see in the box. That device should allow you to proceed with your post because the system recognizes that you are not an automated spam-mailer program.
How did you manage to get through with the post above?
