DTB together again
Any idea when DTB may start playing together? Was there any reason besides a change of pace, why the band is not playing?

Too much brass in new band and boy do I miss Mikes singing
Or even Duane Trucks too.
HP...I don't hate you for it...I think you're right!
For the record...Buddy Guy is 75 and he still plays & sings...
I concur with Nathan, Adam Deitch would be great in a new dT band!
I wouldn't mind seeing them play with Adam Deitch just one more time. His sit in on Serve It Up at HOB New Orleans was absolutely phenomenal.
I really hope for the day to arrive when the boys get back together again. Susan is a good singer and all, but it seems like Derek's guitars playing is too sparsely heard now and diluted. I loved it when his guitar was essentially the centerpiece. I probably won't go see him until something close to the original returns. I miss the good ole days
Queen of Spades... Crossroads 2007... Wow
Who knows when? If they will play? I think eventually so. Entourage Talent their booking agency still has them listed as a band on their site and their availability as "On Hiatus". So that leads me to believe that the dTb still employs(pays) Entourage even though they are not actively touring. I doubt that Entourage is advertising the bands name on their site for free. Nothing is free. I also think that if someone was to send an acceptable offer in to them that they would *tour* like tomorrow and they would definitely do a *one off* here and there for the right price.
Who's willing to pay?
What I wonder though is if the members would be the same. I think maybe if it happened that Derek would go out with a different lineup of the dTb. A different rhythm section most likely. It seems that maybe Derek likes having a younger rhythm section now. Drummers seem to age the most and first. Younger drummers usually can hear better and have much more energy. Yonrico is in his 50's, Count M'butu is in his 60's. Besides it seems Rico has moved on and Todd has a full time permanent job with JJ Grey now. Count M'butu, not sure what he is doing now?
Surely someone out there will hate on me for this (and I think Todd, Rico, & Count are great!), but I think a new dTb with Derek, Kofi, Mike, Oteil, and Tyler would be incredible.
