Derek's Pro-Tool Rig on the road

Derek's Pro-Tool Rig on the road

Hi Guys,

Just read Derek's interview with guitarcenter (http://gc.guitarcenter.com/interview/derek-trucks/), where he talkes a bit about recording in the studio and on the road. Seems like Derek's starting to get into the recording thing a lot more since Swamp Raga has been realised!

About a year ago I read a great interview about their studio where derek and Bobby Tis go into the finer details of the studio and the way they record. In this latest interview Derek mentions he brings a full Pro Tools rig on the road and records every show the band plays. I was wondering if anyone has any detail on this setup. e.g:

- what hardware and Pro Tools version does he use,
- Is it just a big portable audio interface he plugs into the soundboard?
- Does he place extra mics on stage that directly plugs into his tracking rig?
- Does he use any plugins or hardware (compressors, reverb, delay, etc) or just a clean as possible signal so it can be tweaked later?

Cheers from an amateur Guitarist, tracking/mixing engineer, music lovin', big dTb and DTST fan!!!
